The Thompson Group has evolved from a small personal lines agency that was started by Wayne Thompson in 1973. With Wayne's direction and guidance, Thompson Insurance was able to build a brand that stood for quality customer service in the insurance industry.
In 1996, son Anson Thompson bought the agency from his father and continued to uphold the stellar reputation of Thompson Insurance, guiding the agency to become what is is today: a leader in the field of commercial, personal, and life/health lines of insurance.
As an independent insurance agency, The Thompson Group is able to work with many of the insurance industry's leading carriers, including Westfield Insurance Company, Motorists Mutual Insurance, West Bend Mutual, Society Insurance, Travelers Insurance, and Acuity. Working with a variety of insurance carriers gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with the most competitive rates.

In Fall 2011, The Thompson Group announced their partnership with RMD/Patti Insurance located in Beautiful Richmond, IN. This new affiliation brought on board a total of 49 new team members, ten times as many insurance markets to place your insurance program, and an even better customer service experience.
