Our policies and
practices to protect our clients' personal information
We protect personal
information we collect about our clients by maintaining physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards that meet or exceed applicable
law. Third parties who have access to personal information must
agree to follow appropriate standards of security and
confidentiality. We train people who work for us how to properly
handle personal information and we restrict access to it.
Information we
collect:
We collect nonpublic
personal information about our clients from the following sources:

on applications or other forms, such as name, address, social
security number, telephone number, income and occupation.

clients' transactions with us and our affiliates, such as claims
and payment history.

from a consumer-reporting agency, such as a credit bureau.
Information we may
disclose to third parties:
We do not disclose any
nonpublic personal information about our customers or former
customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. We do disclose
nonpublic information to only the companies that our agency
represents as is allowed by Section 8 (G) of Indiana Department of
Insurance Rule 760 IAC 1-67.

parties to who disclosures may be made:
We may disclose
nonpublic personal information about our clients only to
non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.
Our practices
regarding information confidentiality and security:
We restrict access to
nonpublic personal information about our clients to those employees
who need to know that information in order to provide products or
services to our clients. We maintain physical, electronic and
procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard
our clients' nonpublic personal information.
Our policy regarding
dispute resolution:
Any controversy or claim
arising out of or relating to our privacy policy, or the breach
thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the
rules of the American Arbitration Association, and judgment upon the
award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court
having jurisdiction thereof.
Reservation of the
right to disclose information in unforeseen circumstances:
In connection with
the potential sale or transfer of its interests, The Thompson Group
and its affiliates reserves the right to sell or transfer our
clients' information (including but not limited to our clients'
address, name, age, sex, zip code, state and country of residency
and other information that you provide through other communications)
to a third party entity that (1) concentrates its business in a
similar practice or service; (2) agrees to be The Thompson Group's
successor in interest with regard to the maintenance and protection
of the information collected; and agrees to the obligations of this
privacy statement. |
